System requirements and Components

1

Position one is where a teacher uses a mobile device (school provided) to capture the ID of the gopher via a GopherCard or GopherTag. The information is gathered through a Bluetooth enabled wand (provided by KidGopher at no charge) and sent to the mobile device.

2

Position two is the digital display in which the queue is displayed for the children. This display can be centralized in a staging area, like a cafeteria, or transmitted to classroom displays or projectors.

3

Position three is when the students exit and are visually verified using a tablet (supplied by school). The tablet, running the KidGopher software, will show an orderly queue of students with their photo so they can be placed properly.

Other considerations will be how you register gophers and what equipment will be needed to run that process. Below is a list of onsite equipment and what it is used for. This should allow you to scale it to fit your school's dismissal process. This is an example of a single line system. Additional lines (up to 4) may require additional equipment as noted in the quantity field. All equipment provided by KidGopher requires a minimum enrollment of 200 students.

CHECK IN MOBILE DEVICE

This device could be a number of different types, as long as it uses the Apple IOS or Google Android. Examples would be an Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or tablets by Apple or Samsung. This device is to be provided by the school.

CHECK IN MOBILE WAND

This device is a QRC to Bluetooth wand certified by the KidGopher dev-team. It transmits the gopher's ID from their GopherCard or GopherTag to your mobile device. This allows the system to retrieve the information needed to validate the gopher. This unit is provided to the school at no cost by KidGopher.

GopherCard

This is how each gopher is identified individually. A GopherCard will have the gopher's QRC code, which will be scanned for identification. GopherCards are provided at no additional cost by KidGopher. A GopherCard is provided at one tag per student per year.

Hypersign Digital Signage player and software (Optional)

This device will retrieve the information from KidGopher and display it on a HD display or projector.

Check Out Tablet

This tablet device could be a number of different types as long as it uses the Apple IOS or Google Android. Examples would be an Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxytab. This device is to be provided by the school.

This is the computer that is used to register a gopher for the system. The only special requirement of this system is to be operating the Google Chrome web browser and have an available camera for pictures. The operating system can be Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS or the Chrome OS by Google. This device is to be provided by the school and does not have to be dedicated to this system but can do other things during the school day.

Registration Wand

This is the very same wand used in the check in process for gophers. It is however used to issue GopherTags to gophers when they are registered using the registration computer. This device us provided at no additional cost by KidGopher.
